Our Family History stories

We all have family members who we are proud of and many of them have interesting stories to tell.  The challenge for us all is to treasure the moments spent with our loved ones and record their stories so they cannot be lost.

This project page, started in June 2024, is a record of the stories captured by our children of conversations with family members as well as written records of research some have carried out about distant ancestors.

Thank you!

We are very grateful to the children who have put so much work into this project. Most importantly, we would like to share our gratitude to the parents and grandparents, uncles and aunts who shared their stories. We hope you enjoyed the experience and found it rewarding!

Any stories to add?

While the initial project deadline has passed, families are welcome to send their stories to their class teacher or Head of History, Miss Halfhide, to add to this page. Future work added will help us see similarities and differences in stories.  a.halfhide@lsf.org

Stories grouped

We have grouped stories by themes. In some cases, the story's key theme will define the group it belongs to, but it may also have links to other themes.

The links to the relevant groups of stories are below.
