Family Histories - Migration

What is migration?

Throughout history, people have travelled to different locations or different countries to create a better life or to seek safety from war, or to escape from groups who wish to do them harm.

We are very grateful to the many people who have shared their stories with our children. Can you identify common themes or differences in their accounts of moving from where they were born to where they live now?

Are there any questions that these accounts raise which make you want to find out more?

One obvious theme that stands out is the bravery and hard work of many of our grandparents and parents.
