Here are some examples of some Native American patterns. They may have used these designs on their teepees or clothes. What do you notice about the shapes and colours?

In your working from home book, draw a black line across every four lines like below.

Now start to add the patterns. Think about keeping it a repetitive pattern. Each section can be a new pattern.

Now colour them in. Look. At the examples at the top, what do you notice about the colours?

You could try drawing a patterned teepee.

Or use a template like this and make a model teepee. Remember to decorate it with the patterns before you fold it. You could use straws or sticks the poles.
